Jane Abi Atmeh - Intern Clinical Psychologist
Location: Leuven and Online
I am a Lebanese expat currently living in Belgium, and I know firsthand the upheaval, chaos, and bittersweet heartbreak of leaving behind your home—and the person you once were. My journey has taken me across continents, where I’ve learned new languages, embraced diverse cultures, and discovered ways to stay grounded when life felt uncertain.
I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a focus on adult psychotherapy. As part of my training to become a therapist, I am completing my internship at Satori Health Centre. My experiences have given me valuable insight into a range of fields, particularly relationships, communication, and sexuality. I have also worked in research, addiction prevention, drama therapy workshops, and interdisciplinary teams in hospitals and rehabilitation centres.
My passion for sexuality and couples therapy is deeply personal, shaped by my own journey as well as the meaningful experiences I’ve gained along the way. Through programmes like the Tomorrow’s Leaders Gender Scholar Programme, I have explored how gender, culture, and societal norms influence relationships and individual well-being. My approach is rooted in openness, empathy, and a commitment to creating a non-judgemental space—especially when addressing sensitive topics. I strive to understand the constructs that shape our relationships and to support people as they navigate, heal, and grow through their experiences.
My published articles on child marriage and honour killings reflect this dedication. I have also worked with couples and individuals in focus groups addressing domestic violence and participated in workshops promoting healthy communication and emotional connection.
I remain deeply committed to exploring these complex issues with compassion and helping others find clarity, connection, and empowerment. This, combined with my ongoing training and passion for fostering meaningful relationships, inspires me to guide clients in building stronger, healthier connections.
Wherever I go, I am captivated by the privilege of meeting new people and the unique opportunity to truly see and understand them.
Fluent in English and Arabic, with strong proficiency in French, I am dedicated to making therapy accessible and inclusive for all.
Whenever you feel ready, I’m here to listen.
