I am a Belgian native who is passionate about understanding the intricacies of personality and its profound impact on an individual's thoughts, behaviours, and emotions. My own multicultural upbringing, with a Filipino mother and a Thai stepmother, has given me a unique perspective on the challenges faced by expats. Having personally witnessed the difficulties of anxiety, isolation, depression, and dependency that can accompany life abroad, I am committed to helping individuals navigate these difficulties and create fulfilling lives.

My upbringing within a multicultural family has allowed me to intimately understand the experiences of expats. I have seen firsthand how the challenges of adapting to a foreign culture, forming new connections, and grappling with questions of identity can impact mental well-being. This personal connection drives my dedication to supporting individuals facing similar challenges.

My professional journey has been shaped by my involvement with international communities. I studied in Leuven and was actively engaged as National Coordinator in volunteer work for the European Federation of Psychology Student Association (efpsa) and the Belgian Federation of Psychology Students (bfps), collaborating with international students and expats. I also worked as a mental well-being advocate at Pangaea, the international meeting center of KU Leuven, where I gained experience in supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds.

I am undergoing training to specialize in schema therapy. It is an integrative therapeutic approach that draws from various psychological modalities, including cognitive therapy, behavior therapy, psychodynamic therapy, system therapy, and mindfulness. Schema therapy is particularly effective in addressing emotional needs, fostering healthier coping mechanisms, and improving relationships, both with others and with oneself. It provides a holistic framework for understanding and addressing the challenges faced by expats. I am also undergoing training to specialize in psychodiagnostics. Psychodiagnostics serves as an invaluable tool in this process, allowing me to not only identify areas of difficulty but also uncover hidden strengths. I firmly believe that providing tailored guidance to individuals requires a deep understanding of their unique psychological profiles.

I work with individuals aged 18 and above, and I offer therapy services in both Dutch and English. By combining my expertise in schema therapy with the insights gained through psychodiagnostics, I am equipped to offer comprehensive and individualized support to my clients. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their unique personalities, overcome challenges, and build a fulfilling life.
