I am a counselling psychologist passionate about helping people navigate the various developmental tasks they encounter throughout their lives. I believe that everyone has the potential for growth and development, enabling them to live meaningful and purposeful lives.
I have a particular interest in career assessments and guidance, subject choice evaluations, and assisting learners with study methods and strategies to manage the stress associated with examinations and evaluations. These aspects are crucial for both educational success and emotional well-being.
In addition, I offer parental guidance on typical childhood development, as well as therapy for children, adolescents, and adults facing various challenges, including anxiety, stress management, low self-esteem, and those moments when we feel “stuck” and seek ways to move forward. My therapeutic approach draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). I understand that therapy is a deeply personal journey, and I respect the courage it takes to reach out for support.
I am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and hold a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of the Free State.
