I believe in children, and their incredible ability to adapt to changing circumstances, whether it be family, school or general social changes. Most children need encouragement and assistance during some stage of their life. Some challenges arise early on and some only when they become adolescents. Regardless of the challenge I believe that most, if not all children are able to achieve their goals and dreams with the correct guidance, but most of all, all children deserve the opportunity to achieve their potential.
I obtained my Honours degree from the North West University and completed my Masters degree in Educational Psychology at the University of Johannesburg where I received intensive training in Creative and Expressive Arts Therapy (CEAT), Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psycho-Educational Assessments which enabled me to effectively identify learning barriers and create effective interventions.
During the last 10 years I have gained experience in various areas of child and adolescent development, having worked with pre-primary, primary, high school children as well as university students.
My services are offered in both English and Afrikaans, and I offer sessions in person as well as online. I offer individual, family and group therapy.
